History of Gold Fork Hot Springs
According to my research, Gold Fork Hot Springs has been around for quite some time.
The hot springs are located in a remote area of the Payette National Forest in Idaho, and were first discovered by Native Americans who used the waters for their healing properties.
Over the years, Gold Fork Hot Springs has undergone many changes and developments.
It was originally owned by Boise Cascade, a wood products company, and was used as a recreational area for their employees.
However, the company eventually sold the property, and it changed hands multiple times before being purchased by Brenda Bailey and her daughter Kelly McInerney, who own it today.
Since then, the hot springs have undergone many renovations and improvements.
They now offer changing rooms, bathrooms, and heated changing rooms.
They also provide rental suits and towels, and free lockers for visitors to store their belongings.
However, it’s important to note that Gold Fork Hot Springs is a cash-only establishment, so visitors should come prepared with cash or check.

Pools and Facilities
As someone who loves soaking in hot springs, I was thrilled to visit Gold Fork Hot Springs.
The facility boasts six pools filled with alkaline, mineral-rich waters, each with different temperatures.
The pools are made from natural rocks and blend seamlessly into the surrounding forest.
The top pool is the hottest, while the lower pools gradually decrease in temperature. I recommend starting with the lower pools and working your way up to the hottest one.
In addition to the hot springs, Gold Fork Hot Springs has a sauna and a steam room.
Both are a great way to relax and detoxify your body. The sauna is dry, while the steam room is humid. I enjoyed both and found them to be a nice change of pace from the hot springs.
